Adu-Gyamfi Asamoah is an Assistant Research Scientist at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research-Forestry Research Institute of Ghana (CSIR-FORIG), where he is assigned to the Forest Policy Governance and Livelihoods Division (FPGLD).

He is currently pursuing a PhD in Agricultural and Forestry Economics and Management at Nanjing Forestry University in Jiangsu Province, China, under the College of Economics and Management. He holds a Master of Public Policy in Climate Change Policy from Hallym University in South Korea. He also holds both a Bachelor’s and a Diploma in Natural Resources Management from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana, with specializations in Agroforestry, and Silviculture and Forest Management, respectively.

He has extensive experience in forest landscape restoration and both forest- and community-based ecological research, collaborating with numerous local and international partners. His expertise spans climate change science, forests and livelihoods, agroforestry, gender and forestry, and participatory forest management (PFM).

His multidisciplinary background makes him a strong asset for collaborative research and policy development in forestry and related fields. He is a member of the Research Staff Association of CSIR, and International Association for Vegetation Science (IAVS).
