Commercialisation Division

The Commercialisation Division focuses on income generation through the development of innovative commercialisation strategies. The division prepares business plans, guides the implementation of business plans, and supports the development of market-driven products. It also develops internal revenue generation capacity to commercialise the institute’s capital assets, scientific outputs, and human resources. All the research stations are also to support income generation activities and identify products for which they have a competitive advantage to commercialise. For all these products and services, public-private partnerships are explored and developed.

The Institute continues to intensify its efforts at attracting contract research, and consultancies, organising training workshops (on transferable technologies), providing technical extension services, and providing ecotourism, information, and communication services.
