This programme supports the market development for forest products. Priority areas include:

  • Bio-prospecting
  • Marketing and trade
  • Value chain assessment and development 
  • Capacity building on value addition
  • Strengthening rural enterprises (including co-operatives)
  • Access to domestic and international markets
  • Private sector investment in non-timber forest products development and processing
  • Forest valuation and payment for ecosystem Services (PES) 
  • Development of standards and certification of marketed products
